Can something as simple
as "Taking Back America"
bring back our freedoms?
![]()
Yes. Sometimes the most simple solutions are the best the "elegant" solutions, as mathematicians describe the sudden insights that reveal the answers to impossible-seeming problems.
We don't claim that we can win freedom back quickly. Freedom has deteriorated for a long time, and the government has built huge strongholds that threaten liberty. Abusive laws and agencies aren't going to dissolve like smoke. People who have used government to gain personal power are going to fight to keep their status and control.
But as long as we focus our efforts on fighting this law or that policy in isolation, then the strongholds of tyranny are only going to get stronger. It's a sad fact. Every time we throw our passionate efforts at repealing one law or preventing one injustice or tyrannical catastrophe, they're busy legislating nine more freedom-stealing laws or planning ninety more destructive regulations.
Do you truly want to be free? Then we must make government less important. And we must make freedom far, far more important. Our jobthe job of Operation Take Back America! -- is to make freedom more than just a "feelgood" word. We need toand we canturn freedom into a concept people want to live by and want to protect.
In the United States, true freedom is best exemplified by the Bill of Rights, the document that lists things that government is never allowed to do to us and lists rights that citizens are always entitled to.
Focusing on the Bill of Rightswith its 10 understandable articlesgives us a "hook" to catch people's attention. But unlike many pure PR "hooks," ours is both a valid and powerful one. Millions of people who don't know what the Bill of Rights actually contains already know they love freedom, love their rights, even love the Bill of Rights.
All we need to do now is use that pre-existing bias in favor of freedom to enlighten people about what freedom really isand why their own lives will be better if they truly cherish the things that make us free. We can do that by focusingalways, consistently, and insistentlyon the Bill of Rights.
Using simple materials anyone can understand (like the 11 Bill of Rights flyers we are gradually publishing, we'll show millions how freedom benefits them more than government benefits them.
We will create a nationwide Bill of Rights culture an understanding of liberty that runs deep and wide. When citizens are uninformed, politicians can always play tricks with individual laws and regulations. But politicians and bureaucrats won't be able to poke holes in an entire Bill of Rights culture, a culture that loves and defends liberty. They won't be able to crawl under such a culture, or swarm over it, or get around itnot for ANY sort of rights violation or power grab. Because we, the people, will stop them before they can.
When people understand the Bill of Rights, they won't be buffaloed by politicians' extravagant promises. When millions hold politicians' feet to the fire, politicians won't be able to steal our freedoms on the false pretenses of "security" or "entitlements" or "patriotism." If a law, an agency, a decree, or a regulation doesn't pass "The Bill of Rights Test," then millions will understand that it doesn't belong in a free society.
Our job: To restore a Bill of Rights culture in America. Succeed and we're free. Fail and tyranny triumphs. It's that simple.
Fortunately, the plan is simple, too.
Begin at the local level.
Raise awareness.
Celebrate the Bill of Rights.
Hold politicians' feet to the fire of freedom.
Keep your eyes on the prizeliberty.
Yes! We CAN Take Back America!
